Marriage licenses/certificates and marriage license applications contain personal information and are classified by Utah law as vital records. They can only be given to the people whose names appear on the license or who can demonstrate a direct, tangible, and legitimate interest in the record such as immediate family, interested government office, power of attorney, etc. Utah Code 26-2-22
You need to upload an image of your government issued ID (such as a driver’s license, passport, or identity card) as well as a selfie (picture of your face to match the ID) for verification.
If your name is on the marriage record, that is all that is needed.
